Actually, Ibis used the Design from John Castellano. When the co. stopped production in 2002, John took his designs and made his own Frame Building Company called Castellano Designs. His designs included the Silk-Ti/Ripley, a soft tail with 3inches of rear traves using a flat ti chainstay for flex.
He still makes these bikes now and I think that the Bow-Ti might also be in his stable of frames.
Check em out on www.castellanodesigns.com

yes, it works great too. It has 5 inches of travel and no pivots. The flex/suspension keeps the back wheel on the ground and the weight of the bike (23.5lbs) makes it a very sweet ride. Great on the real rooty/rocky stuff.
I rode this in an all mountain freeride form for 35000kms, the whole time that discipline of bike was being perfected and developed. It still rides like it did the day I bought it too, which was June 1998

I started out with the Bow-ti in 1998, and got the Ti-Mojo half a year later when the frame went on sale. I ended up getting the Silk, a Carbon Mojo and MojoSL when Ibis came back on the market in 06.
The Bow-ti has had the balls ridden off of it in an All mountain capacity, and has over 34000kms on it, and it has never failed me. They make great bikes, not to mention the Bling Bling factor! lol

Well, I did shave some weight when I took off the race plate and zip ties!
I think actually, the 130mm Minute is a tiny bit lighter than the 130mm DT Swiss. (on paper)
But it definately does NOT have the same bling factor as that carbon set of lowers. That is a thing of beauty!
Like Homer Simpson says: "MMMMMMM Carbon!!"

I bring my bike into the store with me every time I go there. I say If I can't bring it into the store, I can't bring my money in either. I did this for years without a problem ever, until this one security guard started working at the store. He would follow me around bitchin and moanin at me until it got unbearable. I then told him to go get the Manager. The manager came, and I explained that the bike was worth 11 grand and I am not leaving it out of my sight, even locked! I had shopped at that store for over twenty years, so the manager let me bring my bike in with me. If there is a problem, take off the wheels, and put it in a shopping cart! See what they do then!
I sure hope you recover the bike dude. Bike thieves are lower than a pitbull with syphliss!

Hey folks! Ignore this little boy.
What I find funny is he would never actually be able to ride this trail because he would have to climb it first. Which I am sure he is NOT capable of. It is the most technical climb I have ever found, and the sweetest flowy DH ever when you get to the top. And it's a secret place that I'd never let out.
I'd reply to his little verbal tirade, but I don't want to stoop down to his level.
Let the children play, as I say.

Just at the intersection with Hog's Back trail, and wildhorse next to the Gorge Creek gorge.

No, it is natural.
If you look straight at it, it doesn't look like a face at all. Just from this angle is it like this. I rode past this place hundreds of times till I noticed it.

Lake Minnewanka, along the shoreline before the actual trail. I ride this section where everyone else rides the pavement to the trailhead. It is a nice warmup with a scary exposure to start.
